Strengths
The Board characterizes CWEIA as “a loving and caring organization” composed of passionate women dedicated to healthy community living. Key organizational strengths include:

- Cultural and traditional grounding with Elder Council guidance
- Grassroots structure with strong local-regional communication
- Advocacy-focused, non-political approach
- Recognition of traditional women's roles
- Values-based action for community wellbeing
- Events including the Recognition Gala, healing retreats, and maternity initiatives

Opportunities
Four main environmental opportunities have been identified:
- Partnerships & Collaboration — Work with other Cree entities on family education, ceremonies, health programs, and violence response without competition.
- Equal Opportunity for Representation — “There is room for more women” in government decision-making roles, boards, and leadership positions.
- Diversify Funding — Explore social economy approaches and innovative funding strategies to offset government budget reductions.
- Change in Tone at the Federal Level — Increased Indigenous visibility, Truth and Reconciliation Commission outcomes, and national inquiries into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women create dialogue opportunities.
